On-line Appointment Booking

Working with our clinical IT system (EMIS) we are now able to provide you with information and access to some of our services on the internet.

You can now book or cancel your appointments on-line.

To Register

To register to use this service you will be required to complete an Emis Access Application form, which is available at the surgery, and provide at least one form of identification to a member of our reception team - this is to ensure that we comply with data protection regulations.  You will then be given details of how to log on to the website and instructions to guide you through the registering process.

After registering with Emis Access, you will be able to log on with your pin number and password and view appointments which are available to pre-book.

Security

We take the security of our patients' information very seriously.  By working with EMIS, our clinical system provider, we can ensure that the information you provide when using the internet facility is protected.  All communications with the practice web site are encrypted using very high security.  Only you can see the personal information you enter.

Individuals must register to use this service themselves; access will not be given to any other individual.  Remember - you must provide at least one form of identification to register.

Parents will be able to register their children up to the age of 14 years.

Making an appointment

When you book an appointment on-line you will receive confirmation immediately, it is advisable to print out the confirmation slip and bring this with you to the appointment.  There is no need to re-confirm by e-mail or telephone - just arrive promptly for your appointment on the day.  Doctors do not now carry out smear examinations - if you do require a smear then please book an appointment with one of our nursing team at reception.

Please note

In order to minimise the number of "lost" appointments we have where patients fail to attend, if you do not attend for an appointment you have booked on-line, your registration to use this facility may be withdrawn.
