Repeat Prescriptions
You may e-mail repeat prescription requests to the e-mail address linked below. Please ensure you provide:

Computer Number (from repeat ordering slip)
Items you require
Items not on a regular repeat prescription ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY ISSUED and may often be declined without a consultation for your own safety.
prescriptions@bennfieldsurgery.co.uk
Regular repeat prescriptions may also be requested by sending or handing in the re-ordering right-hand side of your last repeat prescription. We also accept requests by fax on 01788 866039.
We do not accept requests by telephone, finding that prescription requests have too much chance for error over the phone.
Please allow at least two working days for regular repeat prescription requests.
We often recommend Repeat Dispensing for patients who are stable on medication and do not require a routine review for a reasonable number of months. Repeat Dispensing Prescriptions allow for a number of prescriptions to be issued at the time of the medication review consultation and then dispensed month-by-month by your pharmacist without the need for further contact with the surgery. More convenient all-round. Not all patients will be suitable for Repeat Dispensing - but please ask if you are interested.
Please note we often receive requests for items that are not on a regular repeat prescription, often for medications received in the past. It takes longer to process these requests since the doctor needs to look up your records to see why an item might be requested. It can take four working days to process such requests, and often the doctor will still decide that it is only safe to hold a consultation with you before considering if such medication is appropriate.
